LoreeoboeNeh --

We're all searching for the Holy Grail of reeds, whether we make them ourselves, or buy them.

But I wanted to mention that, as far as reeds go, the ones by Roger Miller have a very, very good reputation. I've never used them personally, but I have met several advanced adult players who do use his reeds and who think they are outstanding. You could spend a lot of money, and not find a reed that was any better. What, in particular, are you hoping to find in a reed that you don't have now?

I know that different reeds work better for different people, and if you want to try a few other reedmakers, that's certainly understandable. Does Roger Miller make more than one style or "weight" of reed? Perhaps if you have been buying "student" reeds from him, it's time to move up to the pro.

Best wishes,

Susan
