"Hayley that makes them has copied the scrape her former teacher (and my teacher's former teacher) the late Anthony Camden's scrape"
Anthony Camden actually used K GE reeds for all his recitals and recordings http://www.kge-reeds.com/store/viewItem.shop?idProduct=172
"Ke-Xun Ge was a pupil of mine at the Guildhall School of Music in the 1980's. He very quickly became an expert at making oboe reeds. I started playing on his reeds in 1988. Since then I have only used Ke-Xun's reeds for all performances and recordings. They are beautifully made and can be easily adjusted to suit all players. Once Ke-Xun knows whether you want a soft or hard reed and all other points like length and width then it is very easy to be happy playing the oboe. His reeds vibrate incredibly well and make a lovely sound. I wish they were available earlier in my career. Anyway, now I am very happy and confident about playing as long as I have his reeds. He is forever researching ways of making them better. This is a very good sign."
