You don't *have* to make reeds every day, or in your case (I think?) buy a new reed for every day of the week. It's not necessary.
Certain reeds last longer than others - that's just the nature of cane. Some cane is mushy and lasts about one day, and some cane is really resilient, and lasts for weeks.
It's important as an oboist to be able to adjust a reed to match your embouchure, but it isn't necessary to keep making reeds every day. It's more important to make reeds consistently, and somewhat frequently, rather than constantly. (Spend time practicing, instead.)
I would suggest buying a few reed adjusting tools, and perhaps take a few knife sharpening/reed lessons from an oboist. Then, you can learn how to adjust your reeds to suit you, so that they feel "fresh" when you go to play them.
