Did you see how the strings play on weird places and tap on the box instead of using conventional pluck and bow technique? Advant garde music at its best. Many of today's music are better appreciated if visually attended, like most of Tan Dun's chamber music. I wish i could attend a concert with pieces like Berio's Sequenza 7. My guess is the score of this particular piece must look very similar to Berio's masterpiece - One giant poster with no continuity in bars but rather separated bars indicating various special effects to be executed. This is just extraordinary. Who is this player?
