If there is no difficulty in executing rapid tongue passages and you are able to start a note in any ariticulation suggested there is no need to change your method. You cannot see what is happening inside the cavity, although there is a school which teaches you to feel and learn what and where to move, sometimes over-exageration of a particular suggested movement can cause serious bad habits. The rule to follow is to judge by sound, and if you sound great, it doesnt matter how you tongue UNLESS you cannot progress further with your current method. Your honesty may just well be the truth, and you may well have brought your tongue technique from flute playing over to oboe playing, and it has worked for you.
