Kelloboe, although I'm afraid the scores aren't easy to get, I'd like to suggest Domenico Scarlatti's Sinfonias for oboe, strings and continuo. I recently experienced for the first time those 3 Sinfonias on a CD entitled ITALIAN BAROQUE OBOE CONCERTI as performed by Hansjörg Schellenberger and I Solisti Italiani (Denon label). The pieces are unusually short (respectively 4', 4' and 5'25 each) and one movement for instance is lasting only 0'35, another one only 0'49. But those are hugely pleasant works and the slow movement of the 3d Sinfonia in G Major (Grave) is to die for. One of my favourite oboe pieces ever.
Here's what is to be found in the liner notes ky Keiichi Umezawa (translated by Robin Thompson): "The three Sinfonias featured here are very rare works included in a set of 17 sinfonias the scores of which are owned by the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. But as with most of this composer's output, the circumstances behind their genesis is not known. They are scored for solo oboe, strings (first and second violins) and continuo, and eacch consists of a brief three movements. Despite the brevity of the writing, the music abounds with modulations and other distinctive features of Scarlatti's style. The score used as the basis of this performance is that edited by the Swiss flautist Raymond Meylan."
By the way, this CD also contains the famous Albinoni Concerto op. 9 N°2 evoked in this thread.
