The Adagio is probably one of the most beautiful yet simple slow movements ever written in oboe repertoire. I think the whole piece is very challenging, especially the 2nd movement, with its breathing difficulties. Overall i think it is a very difficult piece in terms of both technical and musical aspects. But if you have the chance to try it, give it a shot! I'll be perfoming it in my first solo recital this June or July. Equally beautiful is the 1st movement of Correli's (arr. Babirolli) Concerto. Astonishing work!
