Hello oboe world,
Recently, I've been trying out different oboe staples, and I've tried several brands out. Right now, I'm mainly using Loree AK 47mm brass staples, but I would also like to try Stevens staples, especially the thin wall ones. As many of you oboe players may know, the Stevens oboe staple business is now out of business, so the original staples are not for sale any more. I would really like to know a good place where I could get some of these Stevens replicas. I think RDG and Midwest Imports have some, but I have never tried staples made by these stores, so I'm a bit cautious.
If there are any other staples you guys could recommend, please tell me.
Additional info:
I play a Loree AK Royal and I use the Mack-Pfeiffer shape. I'm playing principal in a youth orchestra.
Thanks,
ckoboe
