There's quite a bit of Telemann music for alto recorder, oboe, (+/- violin) and continuo. I'm in a baroque ensemble of this configuration. Because of the timbre/volume, it works best with a period instrument, though. I will often drone out the recorder if I use the modern. Lots of lovely duets .... someday I hope to be able to duet with another oboe. Oboes seem to be a rare species out here and I don't really get to duet on modern oboe, let alone baroque. I'll have to just record myself as well!
