If you use American scrape I can see how a profiler can make the tip, but what about the windows? And, since European scrape as I understand it is less complex than American scrape, wouldn't a profiler make a "more final" reed with a European scrape?
And if different profiles are available, how would one know which to get? It's not like they are cheap. I do know the measurements of my initial rough scrape, but doubt they are available in a standard profile.
However, if the silly thing works, it would sure save a lot of frustration for those of us with less than stellar knife wielding.
