Fingering in 3rd register

3rd octave Eb and E for instance, I have always used g# and a fingering with half closed 1st left finger and right hand C key depressed in running passage. I remember many folks in this board including HautboisJJ pointed out to me that my Eb fingering is for E not Eb. I know my fingerings have tendency to be sharp so one should be aware of the fact and adjust lips properly for that. My fingerings are, beside the way I was taught, is consistent with the overtone structure of the oboe bore. I thought such comments as "hmm... younger generation is taking advantage of natural tendency of most oboe construction..."

I was reading a piece by Henri Barraud today and notice a passage (bar 29). And got to wondering how would these folk finger this one. I have no difficulty whatsoever using my fingerings. And even playing every note in tune is not a real difficulty. I tried the fingerings suggested and it was nearly impossible to play it.
