btw...the exchange rate doesn't actually "save" you money. Unless the distributor in Canada is specifically lowering the market price of a certain instrument, then there are no savings to be had!
The canadian dollar has less value which makes items seem more expensive compared to american items.
It would have to be the exact same model and quality (quality can be a huge factor influencing the price!) instrument going for 6000 dollars in both places. however even if the same model went for 6000$ in both places, there's no guarantee that the instruments would be exactly the same in quality.
Very subjective!
