... yes i had trouble finding words to describe the style, hm, abstract? that suggests detachment, but it's really very emotive, so abstract? i dunno
... i like that edgy wilder sound, seems a natural way of reed-singing to me, but aggressive? um, maybe, energetic certainly, youth is like that!
... amused at your comment about the fussless method of treating a simple scrape reed you observed in your intensive, maybe that's an important part of the russian style
