Last year my oboe got knocked over and the Eb mechanism jammed, very much like what you are describing. And the performance was that evening.

I called Alvin Swiney (who is in Richmond, VA), and he talked me through the fix (which involved a hammer and screwdriver and a lot of nerve). It worked immediately, and it's been fine ever since.

I was an established client, but I'd bet he would help you, if he can.

I have two emails for Alvin: sfdr@aol.com and
corkpad@aol.com. Phone is 804-439-8671.

He is also on Facebook quite a lot, under his own name.

Good luck!

Susan
