My teacher gave me the name of a man in Maryland (American Oboe Reed Company) who makes what she deems to be "very acceptable" reeds. SO, I ordered 3 about 3 weeks ago. However, just yesterday I got an e-mail from him stating that due to the death of his mom he would be unable to fill any orders and that he was refunding the purchase price and shipping charges. ANYWAY, this leads me to still needing reeds (almost desperately enough to buy them at the local music store - no, not quite, but close GRRRRR!) Any one out there make and sell them to the public? And more importantly, could ship them in about 2 weeks? He was charging $12 each for student grade reeds. TY!!!
