Do you mean, last longer once you start playing them?
If so, the standards are make sure they dry out properly (either leave them to dry or make sure your reed case is ventilated) and cycle your reeds (i.e. don't do what I do and keep playing the favourite reed until it's dead - it seems to die faster - or maybe that's just spite).
If you want the most out of the cane itself, before it becomes a reed, I'm sure others can give you better tips than me!
Although, if you are in experimental phase, perhaps try K.Ge cane (from his own website). It is very consistent, easy to work with and the reeds tend to last longer. I don't know why, but I'm not complaining!
