Being an experienced recording engineer as well as an oboist, there were two recordings that I wanted to engineer. The first was having Marc Lifschey and Ray Still get together and record the Telemann, six duos at that fantastic room at Temple Emmanuel on N. Lake Shore Drive. I'm sure that they would have been willing to split the first part in half, as they did correspond with each other. Unfortunately, that never happened. There is a CSO trombone/tuba recording, circa 1972, out on ebay that was done there. but I wasn't the engineer on that one, but you can tell what great sound that room has. The other recording was having Ray perform with Elly Ameling (cantata #202) and that did happen, down in your land at Mandel Hall. And as a bonus, Larry Combs did the Auf Hirt der dem Felsen, and Dale Clevenger did the Auf dem Strom. Certainly, a concert that dreams are made of! If only I could have done the first one too, now that would have been something to "crow" about Mr. Octave C! Regards.
