In some concepts of teaching....
they say that the air does not travel directly into the reed....
so when low posture disrupts embouchure....bad .....
over bite i assume is that you take in more reed than usual??
that aint too good on a long term basis...
you won't be able to control and become more flexible....
i was always taught to play at the tip only....only taking in more reed more
minor altisimmo adjustments or extreme measures of intonation....
of course this again depends on the making of your reeds....
so my advise is......hold it in the most relax manner which you feel comfortable....dutchy is right....but it only goes to show that the posture must not affect your embouchure...its a mistake that a lot of people make...
must review once in a while......english school says lower lip is most important.....basically upper lip should taken in much more than you might expect....both lips must balance between the blades...both not taking in too much reed....relax your embouchure and listen to your tone....good?
this is the posture you are looking for.....some say low posture wont let you project....again too many factors to consider....concentrate, always open up your ears during self practise and ask for comments from teachers and fellow friends with good sense of hearing....g.l
