Gordet oboe, German, circa 70s: no crack, VERY occasional and light oiling of bore, try to keep it in as consistent temperature as I can, my best horn.
Jarde oboe, circa 1930s, well-repaired crack between posts in upper joint, seems to widen/close slightly with temperature changes but repair holds; this instrument is not straight i.e. has developed a curve but plays pretty well, high notes fantastic. More finicky with reeds though than the heavier Gordet.
newer Fossati cor Anglais, no cracks, quite dense wood.
