Do you use a micrometer? Make sure the tip is VERY thin (0.08-10) becoming GRADUALLY thicker towards the heart area. If the crow is too high (C# or above?), 2 things come to mind, a tip that is too short or a scrape that is too short. For my own system 10-11mm is a good length. Don't be afraid to lengthen for this particular reed. If this still fails scrape a "V" direction from the back of the reed towards the tip (not until the tip though). Scraping in a straight line on the left and right corners of the reed immediately behind the tip also helps. If all extreme measures fail throw it away (as soon as possible)!
