Dogs are great, but I'm more of a cat guy. As my facebook friends here already know, my orange tabby Tomaso eats gouged cane. I have to be careful to close the studio door behind me. He doesn't like tube cane, blanks, or finished reeds... but he LOVES gouged cane!
I don't know how he feels about shaped cane, as I always tie blanks immediately after shaping.
Tomaso, by the way, is named for Albinoni. And he (the cat, not the composer) is the reason I got into the reed biz. I know, I know, it's sappy... but working from home means more time with the little fellow. So, if you like my reeds, thank Tomaso.
