Fox model 300 is a pro level oboe that's made of plastic ( both upper and lower joint, not just the upper joint,) that sells for less than $6000 brand new...
Just something to consider if you're looking for an oboe that's a pro model and non-wood....
Mariqaux also makes a pro non-wood oboe called the "2009 Altuglass," but I suspect it will cost more than $6000, but I could be wrong.
