Hi,

They seems seems to be a mis-perception that hard reeds make a better tone.

I don't agree. You want a flexible resonant reed to be able to create color and dynamics.

Endurance is a combination of you physiology and most importantly the reed.

The reed should sit in a firm/relaxed embouchure - that does not clamp down on the reed.

Yes, some reeds with more cane - have more gut. And at times you need that quality - however, even then - the reed should not fight you.

By the way Robin I like your tone. It is warm and flexible.
