Jeremy, there are numerous RTOs in the U.S.
There is also an organization called "New Horizons International Music Association" http://www.newhorizonsmusic.org/nhima.html for those who want to begin, or re-begin, an instrument in their later years. The New Horizons program is graded, meaning that one may progress through Level One (rank beginner), to Level Two (average high school player), to Level Three (competent amateur).
Having heard many of these Hew Horizons groups (my hubby is a devotee), I would have to say that even the Level Two groups display superior musicianship to what I hear in any of the links in this thread!
