I'm not sure if your title was really a question. Kingston University is in Surrey, about 30 minutes by train from central London.

I conduct like that, but I don't scratch at my face while I wave the baton.

I do not know about Kingston University but I know Queen's University which is in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and which has a music program.
http://www.queensu.ca/
type "music" in the search box at the top to get the music school address.
Could it be what you are looking for?
Regards
Jeremias

Ooops!
Sorry, I just saw the video. Nothing to do with Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
My mistake.

Lord help us! That is awful.
If I EVER think I should put anything on YouTube, I would circulate it to five of my worst enemies or at least harshest critics for comment before posting!

that's very considerate of you, protecting the public from stuff like this.
I want to stay off U-tube altogether.

Still earns the name Kingston Poly from me 'cos that's what it is.
A lot of polytechnics upgraded their status to university (probably to up their tuition fees), but they'll always be polys.

Either none of you have a sense of humour, or you've never heard of the RTO. Why should making music be the sole preserve of the musically competent?

Jeremy, there are numerous RTOs in the U.S.
There is also an organization called "New Horizons International Music Association" http://www.newhorizonsmusic.org/nhima.html for those who want to begin, or re-begin, an instrument in their later years. The New Horizons program is graded, meaning that one may progress through Level One (rank beginner), to Level Two (average high school player), to Level Three (competent amateur).
Having heard many of these Hew Horizons groups (my hubby is a devotee), I would have to say that even the Level Two groups display superior musicianship to what I hear in any of the links in this thread!

THE TUUUNIIINNNNGGG!!!!!
Those of you with more experience, could this be due to microphone quality and/or placement? Perhaps other acoustical properties?
I'm wondering if I had been there in person, would it be the same?
