Hi Linda,
An F# extension tab ( can even be longer in length than the extension tabs found on late model Loree English horns) can easily be added to an F# key by any number of oboe specialists I know for a very modest sum.
Also, Selmer makes a most excellent, beautifully engineered, silver plated adjustable thumb-rest (about $40-50)
for clarinet/bass clarinet that can be a great help for hand position on English horn. The Selmer thumb-rest has a very long adjustment stud.
And, if necessary, a low B resonance key can be added to a bell.
The key parts can be obtained from Fox very inexpensively, and a number of oboe repair specialists (such as Marvin Kranz, David Teitelbaum, Ken Decker, John Peterson, Mark Chudnow) can accomplish this task.
