Hi Linda
you might see how your HANDS like the instruments, as you've mentioned the mechanism several times.
Do your hands/arms get more tired on one instrument after playing some quick passages for an extended amount of time? Cramping? I think ergonomics can be a deciding factor.
You might play the same passage on each instrument for a 'third party', someone who likes to hear you play. Don't comment AT ALL, just play, and see what they say. Maybe not your teacher, who's heard your comments and probably has a preference already. But it's YOU who's buying the thing.
I think that overall comfort is a big factor when the decision's close.
I'm sure others will offer different advice.
