I realize this is an older thread, but check out Yusef Lateef. He's truly a jazz pioneer. He has played the oboe (along with virtually every other wind instrument) in a jazz/blues context for decades. I mainly suggest him for recordings so you can here the instrument in that context. He does have a book of written exercises, but I don't believe they're oboe specific. You can go to his website, <www.yuseflateef.com>, to see all of his available printed music (which goes beyond jazz). I believe his more recent music, specifically, has moved away from being jazz per se, so if you are interested you may want to look at some of his older recordings (for jazz oboe). Particularly noteworthy are "Eastern Sounds" & "Live at Pep's Vol.1". You can also go to a website like amazon.com and listen to audio clips of his to get an idea.
