The ownership of Fossati changed c. 2008.
Now owned by 3 oboists.
I would suggest that if you wish to purchase a Fossati oboe , you may wish to look at instruments (re-) designed and made in 2008, 2009, 2010.
Nowadays, Fossati seems to be coming to the fore in the realm of
professional oboes. The new model oboe "MB" (named for Michel Benet)
was one of the brightest stars among the oboes exhibited at the IDRS convention this year.
Except for Fossati oboes d'amore, I tend to avoid Fossati instruments made before 2008.
