One of my students has a Selmer Signet, and from what I can gather:
1. It doesn't like really refined reeds (with really thin tips) but rather "raucous" reed.
2. The bore is cut so that it needs a lot of vibrations. The bore wall is thicker and takes out a lot of the extra vibrations.
3. Because it needs vibrations, I'd suggest either a wider shape, or a bigger opening. When ordering from whoever, you probably should mention that.
If it were my instrument, I'd get all of those skin pads changed to cork pads for a better seal, but that's just my opinion. Laubin players would swear by the opposite.
