My teacher has provided me some of his homemade reeds recently that are truly amazing and I am trying to replicate them. These reeds are so good that you can literally play on the string with no embouchure and get them to sound beautiful and perfectly pitched. When played normally, they definitely require a loose embouchure and are very comfortable to play. These make the oboe so easy to play.
Every oboist must experience this. After that, they will never go back to biting reeds.
Any of you ever had the experience with God-sent reed like this?
