Re: moving from thumbplate to conservatoire

I have a conservatoire oboe and a thumbplate cor. I learnt on a conservatoire system so the thumbplate was new to me. It took me about a month for the thumbplate fingerings to become automatic but I can now swap easily from one to the other, including in the middle of a piece (when playing in a wind band).
