Hi Alphons
I'm not sure whether you meant you had heard him once live, or just online. There are many examples of his playing available to buy on cd from various dealers. I took a look on Amazon.com and listened to Tabuteau and Stern playing the Bach double concerto for violin and oboe. He sounded very beautiful and polished. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy the mp3 downloads of that piece from Amazon.com as it's only available to American customers. I think it would be a nice addition to one's cd collection, and an example of Tabuteau at the height of his powers.
By the way ohsuzan, did you ever get taught Tabuteau's numerical expression system, being a student of a Mack protege, who, you implied, would have been taught this way? James
