I too tried a Rigoutat Reic and the full professional model while shopping. Except for the absence of one trill key that I have never used (my old student oboe had it - go figure) the REIC was almost identical to the pro model. Both were used and in excellent condition. I couldn't tell the difference in tone. I bought the Reic because it was newer and I thought it would stand up better in outdoor playing because the model I chose had a plastic top joint.
