The Jean Baptiste Loeillet sonata in D minor (Publisher International Music Co.) and thd J. Loeillet trio Sonata No1 in F , Op 1, No 1 for recorders or flute, oboe and keyboard are nice. For a complete change of pace from the baroque try American composer William Grant Still "Miniatures" for flute, oboe and piano. This black composer dedicated them to the Sir John and Lady Barbirolli. They are a charming set of miniatures based on an American cowboy song, a Negro spiritual, a Mexican folk song and folk song of Peru and USA. Different, moderate difficulty, and fun. Lois Barton
