 'bleaty' throat sounds

I have a student (aged 14) who has been playing for a couple of years; she is a bit shy and finds it difficult to make a good full sound, but has otherwise been doing okay. But recently she has started tensing up in her throat, resulting in a nasty wobble that I can best describe as like a sheep's bleat. I have tried explaining to her what the problem is, and talking about using more diaphragm support, but while she can occasionally stop it when she thinks about it, it seems to come back whenever she starts thinking about something else.

Can anyone give me some good tips on how I help her get rid of this?
