 Teacher needed in MA

Hello all,
I am a long term lurker making my first post because I am desperately looking for a teacher.
I am 32 years old and am hoping to complete my degree in oboe performance. I went to college right after high school but after five years, (two in college three studying privately), I ran out of money and put the oboe aside to work.
I have never completly given up oboe but am very much out of practice. I am hoping to be able to audition in a year. I can dedicate the time needed to practice and make reeds. I just need a teacher to help me know what in the world I need to do to fix the problems I have.
I am looking for a teacher who can help me improve my technique. I have been playing since I was 10 years old but I didn't start taking lessons until college so I'm sure I have some bad habits. I live about an 40 minutes west of Boston and 1 1/2 hours from Amherst. I am ok traveling up to two hours and I don't mind going to other states.
I know it's a long shot because I think schools usually don't want to take on an older student over a young student, but I feel like if I don't at least give it my best shot, I will forever live with the regret.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not sure what your budget is for lessons but why not try getting in touch with a member of the Boston Symphony?

I think Rob Sheena teaches privately. You can find his email and info on his website (http://robertsheena.com)

I would suggest you contact Kathryn DiCola, who posts on this board as oboereed1109. You can Google her, as well.

If she can't personally help you, she probably will know someone who can.

Susan

Thanks for the leads. I'll check them out and see where they go.
