Fair comment. Marigaux has now replied, quoting around 8100 Euro with thumbplate and case. 7-8 month wait.
That is about £5800 - but what isn't clear from Marigaux is whether it includes the 19.6% French TVA tax (which of course applies to EU residents). I bet it doesn't, but I've asked them anyway.
If that's the tax-free price, the Marigaux would actually be dearer than the Loree.
But if the tax is included in that price, I'm sorely tempted!!
Interestingly, Loree's quote included the price with case and TP, then a 10% discount, then the 16.9% TVA on top of that discounted figure. Not sure why the 10% discount was included.
