I actually have a Harold Gomberg shape. It was given by Gomberg to a teacher of mine, who later gave it to me. It is wide, as Bobo suggested; however the shape of the 'belly' did not produce symmetrically shaped cane for me, and consequently I do not regularly use it. I suspect that manufacturing processes at the time it was made did not have today's quality control. I use a Loree 2 shape, also very wide, as it seems to improve the timbre of the reed, and as I live at a high altitude where a greater opening is helpful. However, I also make a considerable overlap, effectively narrowing the reed and stabilizing as well as raising the pitch.
