Listen to your favourite oboist to draw inspiration from their tone, phrasing and musicality, and aim for that.
Get the particular sound you like well and truly embedded into your head and that will give you a goal.
If you don't get there completely (but not far off), you can at least get very near to what you consider what you want to like.
But do keep up the good work, always be inspired and always aim to make as good a sound and play as well as you can.
