Do not wash the cloth.
I've found that (may be cloth maker dependent) that leaving it exposed to the air reduces potency over time. Best to store in plastic bag with a good seal. Even then, it will eventually loose its potency, & then it's time to buy a new one.
Don't use it too often, only when appears to be needed, as it will remove plating after a while.
Glad to hear you are almost ready to start playing.
