jeez.... how can we compete with THAT?
My worst reed story was when I was in high school and I used to practice in the basement (finished) of my parent's house. I picked a reed up and tried to wet it by sucking on it a little, you know how we do..... something wasn't right; it felt clogged. I kept sucking on it, then took it out my mouth to look.....
a tick was hanging half out of the reed! Of course I screeched and threw it as hard as I could across the room. One more tug and that tick might have landed in my mouth (shudder).
