Well in fact, all of us serious players make our own reeds. My teacher has stopped making reeds because of time constraints, and he buys from K Ge and adjusts them accordingly, well of course that is still necessary. When you can get consistent results and you can afford it, why not? Although for a long run sake i am learning very hard now to make good reeds, beginner's luck and 1st reeds are good, not so now. Haha...
