... a brace, talk to a family doctor and get a referral to the right specialist to get a custom-fitted brace or do physiotherapy exercises. Brace is a support device like a splint that just slips on and off fairly easily, but fits snugly when worn, more time efficient and practical in the long run, if your double joint can't be strengthed to stay straight with physio exercises. Need to be able to clean brace too, gets grubby with regular use, so have to consult a specialist to get something like that for long-term use
... DIY by taping something sturdy under the joint to hold it straight, fiddly and time-consuming but might work in the short term, i had to do that to train my left thumb with its weak 2nd joint, stronger now. I found that clear duck tape stuck tight the best (but also the stickiest and messiest to clean up, isopropanol (stronger version of rubbing alcohol) cleans it off skin fairly easily
