Hello All, It's me again. After my third lesson, my teacher says I have a good tone and I am coming along quite well. Couple of issues I'm facing so far. One, I have big hands from being an auto mechanic and two, this is causing me to not be able to go from a note (fourth line D
to E) for example. Half hole to octave key and vice versa. The half hole key is sooooo small.
I'm determined to get pass this little set back, just wondering is this common while learning
Oboe and are there, dare I say, any tricks to overcome it. I still work full time so practicing every day is a bit hard to get in. My teacher also noted that I'm not being patient enough with myself and that I need to loosen my grip on the keys. :)
