Help! I have a performance tomorrow and had a wire flick out of position. I can't get to the repair shop (closed at noon) so I need some trouble-shooting assistance. If you lay the oboe across your lap with the reed-end facing left and the keys down, right above the bell on the middle section, there are two wire "thingys" in a row. The wire closest to the bell runs paralell to the instrument and rests behind a tiny peg that is positioned perpendicular to the instrument. The wire rests on the side of the ped furthest from my body. The next wire "thingy" is the problem. The wire is sticking out at @ a 45 degree angle from the instrument, towards my body. Question, does it fit behind the little peg like the other wire and can I gently move it into that position? OR... does it fit on my body side of the peg and, if that is the case, what is the easiest way to get it back in position? I believe these situations come up so that we can learn to be more in tune with our instrument - but why is it always right before a performance! Thank you in advance for your help. Kelly
