If you play in a Carpenters tribute band it will come in very useful to play trumpet and the other woodwinds (flute, recorders, oboe, cor, clarinet and alto and tenor saxes). I used a soprano sax to play the trumpet parts on as I didn't have enough time to get my trumpet playing up to standard to play the trumpet bits in 'Superstar' and 'Sing'.
