I have small hands. I get rather severe cramps on my right hand after playing EH. So in order to raise the EH position relative to my right arm and hand, I had my crooks bent to raise the EH position about 4.5cm or about little less than 2 inches. It was enough to give my right hand some relief. It seemed to me, at the time, a better way to go than installing key extensions.
But... bent crook changed the sound: bit duller and clarity suffered. Yet produces even tone throughout the range. Any comments or suggestions appreciated. My attempts to contact Hiniker failed. Is he a real person? Phoning and Texting certainly did not work. He appears to have no other electronic communication setup.

When you bent the crook, how did you do it? The interior is a tapered tube and the bore should be maintained as to size and circularity.
If the tube is allowed to collapse at all to a non-circular shape, that would perhaps affect the wavefront moving through the tube.
If you can't reach Hiniker, perhaps Mark Chudnow (MCW) or one of the other good repair folks could offer some advice.
I have small hands also and got some relief by using an adjustable thumb rest and neck strap and changing the horn angle a bit to be more like an oboe position.

John Peterson made a special jog to bend the crook without collapsing.

If you fill the crook with cerrobend that will support it while bending it to shape. Cerrobend alloy is molten in boiling water and solid at room temperature, so relatively easy to work with compared to molten pitch or lead (which requires a lot of heat) or frozen soap solution (using liquid nitrogen).
