Also don't panic. With the industrial super-glues used by many or most repairmen now they can probably glue and clamp the crack with little or no evidence that the crack was ever there unlike the old days of pinning. Some repairmen still pin and this is no big deal either.

Do Not play it, I repeat, I would not play the horn until you have it assessed as the crack could widen and if they widen enough crack to the core which would then become a situational decision of whether to replace the top joint or repair it. Most certainly a crack to the core of the oboe is known as catastrophic and in those cases many manufacturers would reuse your keys on a new wooden top joint in which case... you have a new horn and its a crap shoot as to whether its better or worse than the one you chose yourself.

I had a Loree Crack on me back in the 90's and after they pinned it it was perfectly fine.

The repair takes an hour or two and then done.
