There were some oboes that the importer in the 50's and possibly 60's, had made up by someone and then, branded with the Loree name on them. These were generally sold to schools away from metropolitan centers. Fortunately, Brannen discovered this, as the keywork was noticeably dif-ferent from the standard, Loree style. As a result, Loree discontinued shipping to that importer and went to an open market, distribution policy. There may be more to it than that, but my memory of this is now about 50 years old! (Yikes!) Possibly the oboe under discussion here, is one of those. Regards.
